Grades 1 through 5

Drop-off and Pick-up kids at the church

Children in grades 1 & 2 and 3 through 5 attend Sunday School at 8:45am. For children staying for children’s worship, the teachers will escort them to the family life center for Kid’s Church Live at 10:30am, where children are picked up from there by their parents. Children are promoted to the class they will enter in the fall on the first Sunday of June. For other class times, click here.

Kids’ Church Live
is a worship service geared for children in grades 1 through 5 during the 10:30am worship service in the family life center.

Curriculum for Kids’ Church Live

On Sunday, July 3, 2011, we will be starting a new curriculum called “252 Basics” in Kids Church Live. It is the children’s version of the curriculum Youth Minister Chad Allen uses with the youth group (XP3). Amber Smith, our Children's Ministery Coordinator, has communicated clearly with the children the changes that are coming. In addition, she has made subtle changes to smooth the transition. We will evaluate the new curriculum and how the children respond to it. We are using their sample material for a month. If it goes well we will actually purchase the curriculum at the end of our trial period.

We desire to have a more interactive curriculum for our children. One that allows them to be more involved with the lesson and one another. The new curriculum is set up in such a way that it stresses the core teaching but also makes it engaging and less repetitive. We hope to work alongside you in teaching our children what it truly means to love the Lord. I believe that God is doing exciting things in, and through, our Children’s Ministry. If you desire to serve in the Children's Ministry then fill out the application and turn it in to Amber Smith (Children’s Ministry Coordinator) or JaNell Martz (Children’s Ministry Assistant). Special Needs

We have support staff available for children with special needs through our disability ministry, Friends Unlimited Junior (FUJ). Let Amber Smith or JaNell Martz know if you would like this ministry to be put into action.
