A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Kip spent the night propped up to a port-a-potty. No one wants to touch him since the snake incident.

Greg Smith left early this morning with his son Austin and Robbie Ping. Robbie is flying home from Phoenix in time for his grandpa's funeral. Beth Smith left for Phoenix to visit with her sisters for a day before Cindy flies out on Saturday.

Scott and Phillip Sullivan and Scott's father Phil left for the Grand Canyon this morning. They fly from Phoenix to Michigan on Saturday.

Ron McGill left early this morning to pick up more wood to complete the porch roof. The windows were delivered early and were installed within a half hour. The porch should be under roof by the end of the day. Wiring contines inside.

Jeff Roberts got a nice gash on his head when a 2x4 hit him, but thank God, no stitches required. The ladies cleaned the house and prepared lunch (men don't like chicken salad very well, and you can just forget egg salad!).

We'll go out for dinner tonight, and hopefully decide the plan for returning home - likely starting out on Saturday morning.

We appreciate your prayers as we start back home. It has been a good week and alot has been accomplished.

The windows arrived Friday morning and were quickly installed as the workers waited for some additional lumber to complete the porch corners.

Chad is up in the trusses working on the runs off of the heating and air conditioning units, which were hauled to the ranch and installed this week.

The lumber arrives and the corners are underway.

A porch like this deserves a nice porch swing!

The last night together (cruising at 70 mph doesn't count) most of the group got to gather for a nice dinner. Thanks to our anonymous donor who paid for our delicious meals!

We were lucky enough to see about a half dozen elk (minus the antlers) about a mile from the restaurant. Grace was giving tours to all takers of the several mounted animal heads.

Everyone rose early for the long trip home. At about 6:15am Show Low time (9:15am Cicero), we gathered for a group photo (minus a few folks) in front of the worship center, then the journey began.

The physical accomplishments of the week included structural completion of the porch and concrete poured, windows installed, rough plumbing completed, heating and air conditioning installed, and electrical wiring completed.

The spiritual accomplishments are yet to be seen. Great fellowship was had by all at the Smith's home. Kip gained 6 pounds. On the reservation, we visited the jail, lead a GED class, went to Rainbow Treatment Center, celebrated Palm Sunday and Wednesday night at White Mountain Apache Christian Church, sorted clothes at the Crisis Pregnancy Center, and took the bus out to have some fun time with the children. Two people were baptized on Wednesday night.

Jeff Pieper (he's the famous wildlife photographer, remember) lines us up for a group shot (which I don't have yet) before we depart on Saturday morning. Ron, Gina and Grace were ready for this shot.

L-R front row: Jeff Peiper, Lance Razo, Deb Small, Cierra, Ellary Small, Gina McGill, Grace Roberts ("can I get in the RV yet?, can I get in the RV yet?, can I get in the RV yet?"), Jason Razo's back side.

L-R back row: Chad Hartwick, part of Bev McGill's head, Eli or Jake Hutson, Greg Smith, Gino Small, Eli or Jake Hutson, Buck Green, Ron McGill, Max Thompson's blue shoulder behind Dave, Dave McGill, Jeff Roberts ear between Jason and Mike Hutson.

Not pictured: Carter, Christian and Kennedy McGill (asleep in the RV); Scott Sullivan, Phillip Sullivan and Phil Sullivan (returning to Michigan); Robbie Ping (returned home on Friday); Beth Smith (in Phoenix with her sisters); John Razo (returned home to Tucson on Thursday); Beth Roberts (guess who's taking the picture)

Also visited/worked during the week: Bob & Carolyn Eikenberry, Kim and Pete Kemp, Kelle and Kurt Foland, Austin Smith, Vonnie Gonzalez, and Chris (who got baptized on Wednesday), Brienne White and Damian.

Kip discovered another world in addition to White Mountain Apache Reservation - the Flying J Truck Stop. If you look right over Kip's left hand, you'll see Dave McGill fueling up the "BRT" at about 3:00am somewhere on the way home.

The only draw back was that we missed all the Easter celebration. We passed a very large cross right before we stopped for a quick breakfast and were reminded about what the Easter season is all about. The RV arrived home about noon on Sunday, and the rest of the gang in the slower three vehicles pulled in at 1:10pm. All were scattered to their homes within 15 minutes to unpack and rest.

THE END!

now, what are you going to do with Kip?
