The Kingdom is Here: The Gospel of Luke
Led by: Andy Gable
Sundays at 9-10am (8 weeks) Room 107 or online
Starts January 3rd
The book of Luke documents how Jesus expands God's covenant and Kingdom. Jesus describes a new family of God that includes the poor, outcasts, and others to whom Jesus brings restoration and reverses their life circumstances. He offers freedom from the tyranny of evil and sin to all those who recognize him as the son of God.
Throughout the book, we see that Jesus is indeed the messianic King, but he will claim his throne through suffering and servanthood. His actions usher in an upside-down Kingdom marked by self-giving love, and he challenges his disciples to follow his example and share in his ministry.
