Next Gen Ministry Intern
About the Role
The Next Gen Ministry Intern serves alongside the Next Gen Pastor to support the discipleship and ministry of children and students at CCC. This role is designed to provide a college student with meaningful hands-on ministry experience.
Weekly Hours: Between 6-12 hours based upon candidate availability
Pay: $20/hr. + gas mileage reimbursement
Core Responsibilities
Next Gen Ministry Administration & Programming
- Prepare weekly lessons, supplies, activities, and resources for small-group leaders.
- Participate in large-group teaching, announcements, games, or other stage elements.
- Assist in planning and executing events.
- Identify administrative needs and communicate them to the Next Gen Pastor.
- Attend Thursday evening Student Ministry consistently.
- Occasionally teach or speak during Student Ministry.
Development & Accountability
- Meet regularly with the Next Gen Pastor for coaching, discipleship, and evaluation.
- Learn to identify ministry needs and take appropriate initiative.
- Develop an understanding of how healthy Kids and Student Ministries function.
- Pursue personal spiritual growth and model a growing relationship with Jesus to children, students, volunteers, and other staff.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while functioning well within a team.
- Must complete all required background checks and safety training.
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a part-time internship designed to work alongside the intern's college schedule. The intern is expected to:
- Attend regularly on Sunday mornings.
- Complete administrative and curriculum responsibilities during mutually agreed-upon weekday hours.
- Attend regular meetings with the Next Gen Pastor.
- Maintain a consistent and reliable schedule communicated in advance.
The exact weekly hours and schedule will be determined based on the intern's school schedule and the needs of CCC.
