Senior Minister
Pastor Tim Lueking was born and raised in Sullivan, Indiana. The youngest of five children, he developed his dedicated work ethic and love of the outdoors while working alongside his father and brothers on the family farm. Tim's enthusiasm and youthfulness are catching and inspiring. Tim earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He then began working at Crane Naval Warfare Center. During his time at Crane, Tim heard God calling him into full-time ministry. He left his job and home in Indiana to pursue God's will at Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, Illinois. Tim started his ministry at a small country church near the school while working toward his Master of Divinity degree. While studying at Lincoln, Tim met his wife Katherine, who was working on campus. They were married on July 28, 2001. Tim and Katherine have been blessed with three very active young sons: Timothy (October 2003), Paul (September 2005), and Jonathan (October 2009). Since graduating from Lincoln in 2004, Tim has served as Senior Ministers for churches in Indiana and Ohio. He was welcomed as the Senior Minister here at Cicero Christian Church on January 1, 2006, where he passionately teaches God's Word. Tim's greatest desire is to spread the message of Christ to the lost and to equip Christians to live authentically and boldly for the glory of God. Tim is also serving his second term on the Alexander Christian Foundation board of directors, and has launched ReStart - a ministry for revival in local churches. Music & Worship Minister
Doug served as an interim pastor with us for a year before joining the church full-time Worship and Music Minister in January of 2007.
When and where did you get married? Lisa and I were married November 10, 2001 in South Haven, Michigan. Where did you attend school? I received a Bachelor of Arts at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. What are your hobbies? Golf, golf, golf, and anything outdoors. I also enjoy expanding my knowledge and skill as a photographer. What would you like to tell us about your parents? Bruce and Barb Wiggers were both born in Holland, Michigan. Bruce was one of six children raised on a farm. He owned a tire business for 35 years. Barb was one of four children. She was a stay at home mom while I was growing up. She was also a receptionist in a Doctor’s office for 10 years. They were very active in church (choir, hand-bells, etc.). What book, other than the Bible, do you highly recommend? “The Purpose Driven Life.” It gives a lot of answers to the questions we are searching for. It’s an honest book based on scripture, not opinion. What is your favorite day of the week? Monday. It’s the day after Sunday (which is fun but very busy). It’s also the day to start getting ready for the next Sunday. How did God call you to Himself? I was raised a Christian but I didn’t know God until I was a senior in high school. We went to a youth convention where we heard Tony Campolo talk. He challenged the group to make a stand for Christ. That was my first public decision of faith.

Where did you attend school? I am a graduate of Johnson Bible College What are your hobbies? Spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, making art. What is your favorite childhood memory? For Christmas eve, my dad put his feet in flour and walked around the house to make it look like Santa had been there. What book, other than the Bible, do you highly recommend? Redeeming Love, by Francine Rivers. What is your favorite scripture, and why? 2 Timothy 1:7 always encourages me because it reminds me that God did not give me a spirit of timidity, but of power. I can do all things with Him. If money were no object, what is your fantasy vacation? I would like to go to Honduras because it is breathtaking and the people are wonderful, plus I can do ministry there.
