LIFE Ministry at Cicero Christian Church is people gathering according to the instructions given by God in Acts 2:42-47.
42They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
In LIFE Ministry people:
Love each other
This biblical (agape) love is expressed by living and fulfilling the One-Anothering commands found throughout the New Testament in Community Gatherings, Home Fellowships and Families.
Involve themselves in spiritual growth
Individually and in groups their devotion to God is expressed through the practice of spiritual disciplines. These disciplines include regular prayer, personal and group Bible study, weekly worship, and regular communion.
Fellowship with each other
Biblical love and spiritual growth can only occur in groups where people devote themselves to involvement in Biblical community as expressed in Acts 2. Through this fellowship each person, marriage and family can mature into a Christlikeness that brings fulfillment to them and attracts people to Jesus Christ.
Engage in service
As we love each other and are involved in spiritual growth and fellowship with each other, we will become passionate about being the people of God who are engaged in sharing the Gospel and serving Him in our families, church, community and world.
