USO Care Packages to Soldiers

return filled box to church by November 29!

Click Here to Open Acrobat File to Print

The USO (United Service Organization) of Indiana is coordinating holiday care packages for troops now deployed Overseas. CCC volunteered to provide as many packages as we can. In 2009 we provided 147 care packages overseas plus our congregation's soldiers!

We are awaiting specific names from the USO but they have not been obtained yet. These packages WILL be sent to a soldier, you just won't know the soldier's name.

1) Pick up a provided Large Flat Rate Priority US Postage Box at church (12" x 12" x 5-1/2") starting Sunday, November 20, 2011. Keep the size of the box in mind when you purchase items, as your space is limited. You are not limited on weight in the box. This box must be used. If you turn the items in without this box, we will package/repackage it for you.

You may send more than one box. Buy in bulk and create several different care boxes.

Return the filled box back in to the church by noon on Tuesday, November 29. Do not attempt to ship these boxes on your own. The church will seal and label the boxes and get them to the USO in bulk to send to the soldiers.

Help Label and Seal Boxes after Soup, Salad and Scripture meet in room 107 at 1pm on Tuesday, November 29.
