Financial Report discussed, Terry made motion we accept, and seconded by Ann. All were in agreement.

Dunamis: Dan reported that all is going well. Possibly there will be a mission board retreat there on March 12.
Jamaica : Warren reported that there is going to be a revival crusade in March. School attendance is now at 17.
Hope: Mike gave all a handout on their General Checking Account Balance. There is more interest from churches as a mission endeavor. Also, Hope has received 4 or 5 grants, and has a next year's budget of possibly $72,000. They are open 4 days a month and 5 hours a day.
Kulpahar: Ralph has received a letter from Sharon, and they still need a doctor and volunteers. They have had rain, which is a blessing.
Damou: Mike reported that they have received 2/3 of the money needed for a vehicle. Mike House is trying to get a group to go there in December, 2009, to make repairs.
Mephibosheth: Dan said that Becky needs prayer for her mother. They have an applicant for the apartment.
Benevolence: Rick stated that he and Bev have met with Mike Hutson. They have not received many requests lately.
With regard to the bibles purchased for Hope, they have been received, but he has no bill yet.
Amber Wolfe has completed the shadow program.
Chad has submitted proper paper work for reimbursement for a recent class taken.
Zach Pieper has requested financial assistance for a summer college trip to South Africa. We will ask for more information before making a commitment.
We discussed the possibility of giving money back to the general fund if they need it. We will wait and see what develops.

Cicero Christian Church Missions Team Minutes 5/8/08
Attending the meeting were Mike Jenkins, Dan Conder, Bev McGill, Terry Newman, Judy Settles, Rick Hahn, and Ralph and Phyllis Bradley.
Meeting opened with prayer by Mike, followed by prayer requests. Mike also gave devotions.
Mike gave all a handout outlining an increase from 10% to 11% being allotted to the Missions Team, effective 5/4/08.
The Financial Report was discussed and approved ,whereby Terry made motion and Judy seconded it.
The minutes of the April meeting were also approved, whereby Judy made motion and Dan seconded it.
Dan reporting on Dunamis, stated that they need prayer - a petition had been circulated on the reservation that some do not want a church there. The summer and beyond is about filled up with mission teams.
No report on Mission Jamaica .
Mike reported on Hope Clinic stating that they had 17 patients on the last Saturday of the month. Jeff Glover is in the hospital but a heart attack has been ruled out.
Ralph gave report on Kulpahar. Please pray – two wells have gone dry on the property. They have been rationing water. The large generator needs to be repaired. Also, please pray for Lea Moshier who has serious health problems.
Reporting on Mephibosheth, Dan stated that the Day Program is growing. They have two 4-day camp sessions planned and they need more staff for both sessions. Nancy Reed will become the new Administrative Assistant and Emma Reed will be the summer intern. They need help in providing her salary and any amount will be appreciated. This was discussed at the meeting and we decided we would pay $1800 toward her salary. Phyllis made motion and Ralph seconded it. All agreed..
Damou – Bev told us that Tina has not been released from her doctors.
Benevolence – Rick reported that he and Bev talked to the last applicant but the applicant did not want to attend a church service, so the request was denied.
Mike handed out information on Continuing Education for the ministry staff as well as a draft concerning scholarship aid.
Terry will contact Chad to find out what his needs will be for 2008 and 2009.
Regarding the Youth Fund Raising progress for Dunamis trip, they are short $1500. We are committed to giving them $4000.
Jeremy Castle, the summer intern who will work with Doug Wiggers, will be encouraging all youth to participate in some ministry at Cicero Christian Church. We were all given a handout of his job description.
Restoration House Ministries reported by Rick stating that they have planted 12 new independent churches in the northeast.
Regarding Joel Ladd’s request for support for his summer mission trip to Florida , we agreed to give him $200 again this year. Rick motioned and Terry seconded. Also, if we get a request from Zach Pieper, we will give him $200 also.
Regarding the request from Tina’s forwarding agent for material and socks and underwear, we will consider at a future meeting.
We discussed a request from Mission Services for funds. We agreed to give them $500.
We also agreed to give IDES $500. Rick motioned and Terry seconded.

Bev opened the meeting with prayer.
Judy mentioned the Clown Convention at Greenwood Christian Church on April 4th & 5th at a cost of $30.00. Judy will contact either Chad or Jason Razo to see if Eli is interested in going. She will also ask for an insert to be put in the Sunday bulletin about anyone interested in the clown ministry.
A discussion took place regarding the guidelines for Chad ’s tuition needs. Terry suggested that Chad ’s request be taken to the elders.
Terry reported on Oblong Christian Home , which is 30-40 miles southwest of Terre Haute , Indiana. It is supported by local Churches of Christ and Christian Churches. Terry will do further research.
Ralph reported on Pinehaven Christian Home in St. Ignatius , Montana , as he has been on two mission working trips to this children’s ranch.
Dan suggested that we might support Rainbow Christian Camp’s marriage retreat which has been started by a couple from Chicago .
Bev will also look back in her records for requests of support.
We are all to pray over the above suggestions.

Dan reported on Dunamis. They are averaging 130 people each week for Sunday worship. They need to hire a camp administrator for the summer. He also asked that we pray about getting the contract signed.
Warren reported on Jamaica . Delrose has 88% of the work done on the school and is on the way to be state approved.
Terry reported on Hope Clinic stating that Loren Bieberich is doing a good job taking care of one of the patients there.
Ralph stated that he is waiting to hear from Sharon Cunningham. There is a tentative date of June 29 for her to speak about Kulpahar.
Dan reported on Mephibosheth, stating that the apartments are being fixed up and Mary wants to move in one of them. The basket auction is scheduled for April 20.Bev stated that Tina Eisenhower is hoping to go back to Haiti on April 10.
Warren will try to contact a “scrap booker” to see if they would be interested in improving our missions binder.
Bev said that benevolence requests have been slow.

Mike opened with prayer.
Chad is enrolled in Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, Indiana, and his class tuition is $660 plus approximately $150 for books. He has taken two classes and has ten to go to graduate in 2009. He would appreciate any funding we could allow him. We decided we would have to add a policy for the ministerial staff as the one we now have is for students in the church. We talked about allowing $1500 per year for a minister. Terry volunteered to review the policy we now have for students and at our next meeting we will come up with recommendations.
Eli Razo has shown an interest in the clown scholarship but has not submitted an application. We will discuss at next meeting other opportunities closer to home.
Tina Eisenhower will return to Haiti as soon as she is released from all of her doctors.
The Financial Report was read and discussed. Judy motioned that we accept it as written and Phyllis seconded it.

All of the Dunamis board members are in Arizona for a planning session. They opened up the new church on February 3 at the new location.
Warren reported on Mission Jamaica. The second story apartment is almost complete. The Ministry of Education in Jamaica has a new set of rules for early childhood education and the physical requirements could amount to $10,000 in addition to what has already been done to the building.
Mike reported on Hope Clinic. It is now open the 1st and 3rd Saturdays and the 2nd and 4th Thursdays.
Ralph reported on Kulpahar. No date has been set yet for Sharon to do the Mission Moment. Sharon is now in Colorado but will be at Cicero during Easter.
Mike reported on Mephibosheth, stating that they are planning a basket auction on April 20. Two [apartment] units are now ready to rent.
Mike also reported onDamou saying that it is functioning well.The damage from the rainstorms has been cleaned up, the students washed the walls down, and it is getting back to the pre-flood stage. Ides has helped Damou with approximately $400,000 toward food.
Rick announced that the Benevolence has not had any requests for help for two weeks.
The Mailbox binder is being updated.
Warren reported on a workshop that he attended at the National Missionary Convention. A church in Cincinnati took in a refuge family with serious cultural differences.
Judy attended a workshop on Angel Food Ministries.
A sub-committee report was turned in to the team and Mike will prioritize the various recommendations by the next meeting.
Warren will obtain a time slot for Kulpahar by next meeting.
Ralph will obtain further information about Pine Haven Christian Children Home by next meeting.
Mike will call Grace Community Churchregarding their automobile repair program and also talk to Brittany Small about her missions survey.He will talk to Chad further on the Person to Person Ministries and check on the Dunamis pledge drive.
Terry will obtain further information from the Oblong Christian Home .
Rick will obtain further information from Third Phase.
Judy will check on the T & T Road Show at Greenwood Christian Church.
